All,
I have a 96 Griff 500 without the large heater interconnecting pipe in the engine bay..not sure if this is important.
Is it possible to install the heads when using ARP head stubs with the block in situ.

Thx

Yes.
Place heads on the dowels then fit the studs.
You cant fit or remove a head on the offside with the studs in place.

In which case it would be prudent to copperslip the threads just in case you want to remove them. Install them finger tight, certainly not tight.

Thanks for the response..

The plan is to install the short block..then I can assemble the exhaust manifolds onto the heads..then install heads. That will save a lot of messing around with the pesky manifolds.
