There are plenty of threads on here from the past about this. You will have to modify the seat rails to make them fit. The Tuscan seats seem to be a bit too wide, and some people don't think they have enough shoulder support. The Cerbera seats will cause you to sit about 2 inches higher and the Tamora/T350 seats are a v tight fit by the roof bolts.

If you google TVR seats for sale then a few come up. There are some Tuscan ones for £1k and some Tamora/T350 seats for £1295-£1395. You will also need to budget for re-trimming them to suit your car.

Is it really worth bothering? What is wrong with the seats you have?

Tuscan seats fit well in my Chimaera.

More lateral support at seat level, expecially if you take the seat pad out for track days. The back panel has an adjustable lumber support too.
And I like having something directly behind my head. I am a mere 5 ft 11, and yet my head was entirely above the the head rest on my standard seats.
Good thump up the back from a carelessly driven truck/Range Rover and I would quite possibly have had a broken neck.

I didn't have to modify the seat rails, just drill different holes in the floor.
I drilled the front ones down through the corners of the chassis bracing triangles, and my TVY guy, off his own bat, fitted steel strips across the chassis to take the rear bolts when he refurbished the chassis. Thank you Mr Mat Smith - the thinking man's TVR expert. So my seat is now anchored to structural steel.

As for seat colour, I was watching out on FB so got a set that matched my car. But our cars tend to need a re trim at some stage anyway.

Sorry to disagree with you, LucyP. Normally us accountants stick together. But speaking for myself, I wouldn't want to swap back.

I opted for Cerebra seats on mine and resolved the issue with the height by cutting out the fibre glass and installing webbing in the bottom along with a custom foam.

Good question, MooseV8 what are you trying to achieve?

I'm guessing a bit more side support.

Just to confirm the headrests on standard Chim seats do extend out on rather nice shiny stalks until they are almost touching the roof so should be good for taller chaps
Apart from looking like they were made to be there in Anthony’s car the Tuscan seats do also offer more side support.
The Chim is a tourer so seats more akin to tourer seats. It shouldn’t be a criticism and indeed on a long trip abroad they are really rather comfortable thumbup

I've had mine for 23 years and always found them ideal, fast driving, tours to south of France and track days etc. usual sort of stuff. I suppose it depends on your shape? At 15 stone I wouldn't want them any tighter! biglaugh

I am a tad less well endowed with avoirdupois, so used to find that, expecially flat out on track days on track tyres and with over 300 bhp, I slid around rather a lot from side to side on the standard Chimaera seats. Hence I used to have to brace myself with my knees aroudn corners. I agree that they are very comfortable.

I have to use my knees and elbows in quite a lot of fast cars. There comes a point where nothing but a 6 point harness will hold you still. Somedays my knee gets sore from all the rubbing on often plastic centre consoles etc when really they could do with some padding there.
Makes perfect sense. I remember 100cc carts with so much grip your feet wanted to shoot out the side and once with a wet floor tray my foot did just that.
Side forces are particularly hard on your inner thigh muscles so any lateral support is always going to be welcomed by fast committed drivers. wink

Cerb seats, imho, are the best seats TVR produced.

Comfy on long journeys. Hold you up on trackdays. Great alround.

I would include modding the base cushion to thin it down and cut out the fibreglass base and fit webbing. Plus heating elements.

When I specified my Griff I added heated seats to the options. The sales person questioned it but as I knew I would mostly drive the car with the roof down, even in winter, it was a good box to tick and I am pleased that I did. It's nice to have a warm back on cold days.

That’s a good call. Tvr’s are hot inside so roof off in the winter/spring period is I think perfect. Add heated seats to keep your back and bottom warm just makes it a really comfortable place.
My own car is currently going through a re-build and heated seats will also be added. Very easy to do yourself or have fitted whilst a retrim takes place.

Hansdaal ,thanks for input looks likely the option you just confirmed it guess complete seats and runners used much modification needed ? Ps like the door cards still deliberating whether carpet inlays keeping it o/e or full leather not that it's standard anymore depends on pennies or lack of them idea

Is your car at TVR central now?
