4.3 advice

Morning all.
I’m starting my search for a 4.3.
Anyone close to Southampton with one who’d be happy for me to pick their brains?

Hi I have a 4.3 that I have owned for a couple of years. I am hands on so have got to know my way around it pretty well. Another good thing to do would be to go to the TVR Car Club meet. I am in Fareham and the meet is the second Sunday of the month at The Milbury’s in Alresford from 1200.

Yes this weekend on the 14th. I won’t be there as I am on holiday. There is also TVRs on Poole Quay on Friday 12th @1800

Yes, that's the one.

I also learnt that some 400s and 430s were supplied from the factory with cats!
I'd assumed that all 400s and 430s were non cat and the 500s all had cats.

Sort of. Anything ‘93 onwards was with cats due the change in legislation. Anything ‘92 is pre-cat. I’ve a Dec ‘92 4.3 pre-cat but also had a ‘93 catted 4.3 Chimaera many years ago.

The 500s were all ‘94 onwards so all catted, although I guess there may be upgraded ‘92 cars running 5 litre without cats.
