I'm having my Portland Grey seats retrimmed and I'll have one good cover, base and backrest in that colour for sale if any good to you?
From a 99 Chimaera.
I'm in Ayrshire so nearby too

As an upholsterer without a template, I need an original cover to create a new template as well as the seat frame and foams and any possible parts that hold the cover to the frame and foam. Some of those bits you have to re-use and cannot be bought new anymore. So it’s not easy to just create a kit.
Cost also starts going up when the cover has a lot of top stitch and French stitch. The Griff and chim has a lot of both.
Colour is also an issue, you won’t get a perfect match of sun faded original trim.
So if you want perfect, a diy kit isn’t the way forward.
I would imagine no kits are available because an upholsterer needs to re-use certain parts of the original seat cover that are not available anymore.
I would say if you supplied your original seats complete a good price in leather with a vinyl back would be £900-£1000 depending on any hidden repairs
