I enjoyed being the odd one out in '05
...mind, I was made welcome, unlike the Wedgefest folk who threw me out
You were lucky, I was told to park in the field opposite despite being there from the beginning and having two Griffiths before because it wasn't a Griffith and car park half empty. The 'organisers' killed it for me and many others especially when they tried to sabotage the Wedge meeting a year later. Idiots. ...mind, I was made welcome, unlike the Wedgefest folk who threw me out

The good old days are now long gone. For none TVRCC events.
Went to this years BBWF in the Chim, even won a prize for not having a wedge.
They even had dailys on the run.
The last post on the BBWF from a few days ago states.
Yes a great event. The Wedge Fest is open to all, independent of which club or various FB groups you prefer.
Perhaps time for ( buzz word time ) an all inclusive Griff Growl.

Shoot me down in flames but why turn up to a car meet billed exclusively for a specific type in a car that isn’t that type?Went to this years BBWF in the Chim, even won a prize for not having a wedge.

Obviously if a tvr meet I would expect all tvr models to be welcome. If open to the public for viewing then non tvrs would be parked up elsewhere so the view of tvrs is uninterrupted.
Maybe to get things started again, the main tvrcc could organise a northern and southern meet for all tvrs. Once at the show place, each model is then separated per model rather than next to your mate. Then a wedge fest, Griff growl and s type heaven can happen at the same time. Group start ups to see which models are the loudest and stuff like that. Rolling road shoot outs and plenty of food outlets to keep the hunger at bay. Have a group of AA and RAC vans selling breakdown cover and help on the day where needed. Just simple to start with to get a feel of numbers. If a success then build on it. If not then put it down to experience knowing car meet events have no future.
^^^^ Because it was billed for all TVR's to attend but we were made to feel like lepers despite being in a TVR just not a Griffith. I had two before of which I had previously attended. Also, I recall the car park was half empty and other non-TVR's were parked on it as per pictures provided, but because it was a Chimaera and the like we had to park on grass field over the road and out of sight which was childish and pathetic. The following years died, little wonder. Started out great, then got ruined.
I attended one year, around 2015 I guess, with my Chimaera, when we were all invited, and it was good fun.
Really friendly crowd, Sportmotive were there that year with their Evolution chassis car with the LS engine.
Loads of other TVRs there, including several SEACs etc. It was a good event.
Not sure why I never attended another one.
I have had my TVR 10 years now. In the early days of my ownership there was a lot going on, I even organised some of it myself (2013 tunnel runs).
Scroll on to 2017-18 and there was a noticeable change, fewer people attending events and many of the owners feeling perhaps that standing in a field with a row of reverse-parked cars for the 47th time had lost its spark. I still do Peak District run outs, track days etc - I need to see action and driving, not watching the grass grow.
I guess our interests, and the events we attend go in cycles.
