Hi,
Looking at buying a Surry top and this site comes up.
Has anyone bought a Surry top from Roger at Cambria Cirrus?
If so, what is the quality and service like.
Are you happy with end product.
The roof on my Griff was scuffed when I bought it and was thinking of taking it to get it retrimmed but both places I've tried seem to have zero service skills.
Cheers

Hi. Plenty of threads on this. In overview, the product can be excellent, mine is. Mine fits well (after some tweaks), is waterproof, looks great, stores easily. I am never going back.

Roger can be a little non negotiable, by repute. I found him fine to deal with.

Complaints are generally poor fit, some you see don’t fit particularly well. I would guess that most could be made to fit well, there are two mods to do, both essential in my view.

My car with the Surrey fitted. Not the best view, but, check the fit to windscreen and along the side window. All excellent.

Mine fits as good as the targa panel and is a lot easier to store

I just bought mine a couple of months ago. This is the fit the very first time I fitted it. A little low at the back but if I shimmed the seal it would be fine. The other photo is it in the boot. Normally I leave it in the boot with hard targa on in the garage. Take that off and leave it behind when I go out.

Hi Scott. Pretty good fit. You could space the front at the drivers side down a bit, mine was identical to yours, stuck a spacer under the windscreen top edge. Now even better.

Nic thanks for the tips. As I said first time I tried it. Did not want to over tension the supports and pop the windscreen. I always worry when I push the tensioners back an the rear hood.

Will the Surrey top fit across behind the seats?

Not sure how long I'll be keeping mine, but the std roof panel faff is a mark against it.

Hi Nic
What are these two essential mods to be done?
Can you provide a link?
Thanks

Cheers Nic and Scott, appreciate the replies and photos.
I'd looked at other threads but did not find one specific to Rogers Surrey Top.
Good idea keeping this in the boot and putting the hard top on in the garage.
I'll give Roger a call.
Cheers.

Both tips in there. The one to lower the edge at the windscreen doesn’t add any more pressure to the windscreen, just bends the hood front rail down slightly.

I am very satisfied. Easy to fit and take off. I'll probably never use the hardtop again.

Me too, I've had my Surrey roof for 4 years, did the swing arm mod and some other fettling. The hard roof went into its bag and into my loft a few months after I had it fettled. It'll be staying in the loft until I sell the car

Got one for the Tamora and the S. Prefer them to the targa panels. Easier to fit, stow and more luggage space. Fits behind the seats in my S(s) and Tamora.

Do you fix the rear section / hood first, then put the Surrey Roof in?

I do it the other way round. And I have not modified it.
