So I'm replacing the fuel hoses and have reached the engine end. I was expecting to hoses to and from the fuel rail to meet the copper line down by the bell housing - per older postings on PH. Mine doesn't - the copper lines appear to run vertically up to about rocker cover level. Obviously this makes it easier as I can get pretty good access but I'm wondering why it's not at the bell housing about 10 inches down as I understand it normal. The car is a 1992 Precat - did the pre cats have the join here rather than lower down or does it like I have a non standard layout here ?

Thanks.

It's no issue them being there just be thankful they are as it makes them easy to access.
When I fit new pipes that is where I run them too.

Have a friendly bump…

And I reckon it’s had work/been moved to a more accessible/safer location…

Might have been when it had a standard old 3.5 RV8 lump stuck in judging by how slow it is tongue out

It has been worked on previously, as others have said.
The original location for the join is rubbish and mine (early precat) also no longer join at the original location.
