Fitting headlight to pod help please.
Discussion
All I’m in a bind my body shop man is great a bodywork but not so good at remembering how stuff goes together.
I want to assemble the headlamp pods to make sure they are done to my standard. I’m really fussy about fit and finish.
He has given me the headlamps back with the fibreglass pod for me to assemble.
As. Sure you are aware there are three holes that correspond with the light unit adjusters. I’ve worked out which hand they are by the bolt rotation on the lamp fitting
My question is this? What is the correct order of assembly?
I start by removing the wing nuts then what? Do I remove the springs? Do I remove the plastic retaining ring.
Has anyone got an image of the rear of the fibre glass pod assembled?
Soz I’m sure this has been covered but I need to get right.

Take wing nuts off
Slot light into pod and push screws through the 3 holes. Put some washers on the back and replace wing nuts. Tightening them evenly until springs are about 1/2 way tight so as to act as resistance on the wing nuts but allowing enough in and out movement for fine tuning of headlamp when on the car.
I presume you have enclosed lights.
I have a Chim but think the principle is about the same.
Put lots of grease on the threads and they should stay workable for a good few more decades
