1994 griff 500 starts up runs drives idles decent but. If the car is moving and you change gears somewhere above 2800 rpm the engine stalls. You can still move the pedal and hear the throttle open but nothing from the engine. Then all of a sudden snaps violently back to running again with a massive lurch forward.

Any light shed would be greatly appreciated

First place check the throttle pot voltage swing is doing as should. Dead spots on the carbon track cut the fuelling.

What’s the benchmark I’m looking for ? Or the standard procedure to verify this I’ve just got the rover gauge setup. Is it possible to verify with that

I was going to say it sounded like my TP issue when on way to my garage, they checked it on Rovergauge and cleared the fault it has been fine ever since.

Had a similar sudden loss of power, and then it kicked back in with a jolt, and it was the ignition amp.
