My Griffith 500 is going to get some regular miles put on it now that I've acquired it.

I'm curios. if I were to build a replacement engine and try to piece one together as a direct fit (the 5.0 or even beyond I think I've heard of a 5.4 made) how much trouble, parts, machining and general hassle would it be? any light shed on the subject would be appreciated. Would prefer it all be to TVRs same spec I know racing green and racetech sell a lot of the parts but there are some small things missing pushrods etc.

For reference I have 1994 Griff.

Thanks in advance !

Thanks for the info. I guess my next question would be can anyone tell me exactly what separates the 5.0 in a Griff and a 4.6 from a rover?

what all modifications must be done to make it same spec?
