Griff 400 heaterbox wanted

Hello all,
I had a fire in the passenger footwell recently. Took the fuseboard, heaterbox and some of the wiring loom with it. 😢 Have secured a very good fuseboard, the loom is repairable but I'm still missing a "new" heaterbox.
Does any of you have an unused one on the shelf just waiting for a new home or do you have any idea of where to get one.
I've been around to the breakers without any luck.

Places like Car Builder Solutions sell generic heaters for kit cars, may be you could adapt?

What caused the fire?
Normally leaking fuel pipes cause a fire

My last Chim' had the heating removed, not by me, and some of it was included in the sale of the car to the next owner.
I'm trying to contact him to see what he did with it. Not sure if it will fit a Griff though.

I'm not quite sure what caused the fire. Might be a short circuit in the fuseboard or loom. Anyway, the foam material, that was stuffed around and behind the fuseboard (maybe put there by the factory from new) caught fire, and was dammed difficult to extinguish. Luckily I had a Firestick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So - check your passenger footwell for foam material guys!!!!

OH no,
It was destined to be refitted in the Griff; it came out of.

I thought you were sorted?

Sort of. I've got hold of a box for a 500. Will have to merge the two. Will probably work :-)
