Hot heating only - where to start ?
Discussion
I’m in need of some ideas please !
I’m only getting hot air out of the heating vents. I can hear the servos working as I move the knob from hot to cold and the knob for demist to footwell but not when I rotate the fresh air or circulate knob.
I have had some work done recently which involved the lower dash / whale tail being removed and dash. Incidentally the drivers door handle is getting hot so maybe some ducting is not seated behind the dash.
Any thoughts on how to do PD/PSI please ? (problem determination, problem source identification)

Thanks Bob - the link really helped.
I’ve got my feet in the air and head into the passenger footwell earlier to have a fiddle. I can see the white painted alignment marks and when I moved the potentiometer wires, the valve moved a little more. The 3 wires are very thin and access to the whole unit it REALLY tight.
On balance I looked at how to remove the potentiometer and/or the valve as detailed in the Bertram Hill link. It looks like a tough job as access is really hard. ….. so I’ve taken the pragmatic approach and left it alone ! It’s currently on cold and I know that hot works so come next year when I need cold again, I’ll wiggle the wires !
Not ideal but some jobs don’t have a good ROI !
