R380 gearbox

Not sure if this has been cooked before but I would like to know if this box will fit into a griff and my original gear selector and bell housing speedo thingy , clutch, fork , prop etc a straight hassle free swap ????

These are ready available and reasonably priced and I have access to a ramp now

There's one for an mgb v8 on ebay right now at 1800 pounds ..

the 2wd versions are actually rare, plenty of 4wd land rover versions about though, if you can get a 2wd rear casing ?

Not sure how easy, or worthwhile, the conversion is .. they're a heavy lump like the lt77.

Since I have replaced the rear diff bush the box works well when cold !! However when hot it’s a cruncher in 2nd and 4th but it’s getting better as John said to give a few thousand miles 👍
