Small dash problems

So , I've just finished a full interior overhaul, carpets, leather, new Stainless dashboard etc, I've gone to start the car and I notice that when the car is running the small dash ( heater controls) all the led's are on, ex the alarm one.

I've looked at the manual and it says they should not be on.

Help

the car does not have AC,

Other things to note, The temperature button works fine, as does the fan speed, but I am not convinced the direction button is doing anything.


Any thoughts to what it could be

Are they definitely all on? In sunlight mine can look like they're on when they aren't.

Otherwise you have a wiring issue I suspect.

Direction knob is connected to an electrical switch I believe and you should hear it whirr. I had mine sorted when getting the car recomm'd. You should feel a difference when it's turned... But it won't be huge

yes they are all on, just tried it in the dark in the garage as you had me thinking.

top switches all work fine,

bottom two i can hear nothing.

As i have done a dash swop, is the heater control box behind the main dash, from memory i think it is.
