Bleeding Coolant System

I am just about to refill the coolant system after having it all apart. There is a thin hose that goes from near the pump to the inlet manifold. (Marked with a white arrow) Did this used to be routed via the throttle body? (This is blanked) Can I extend this hose to form an high point to bleed the system from? I also intend to use the bleed on the radiator and raise the front of the car up.
