Latest blurb from Top Gear, via email
quote:

Right now there’ll be much chiselling of glass fibre, bench testing of engines and burning of candles at both ends occurring in a locked shed in Blackpool. Arguably the most eccentric of all independent sports car manufacturers, TVR, is hastily readying its latest creation in time for the British International Motor Show later this month.

Previewed in Top Gear magazine’s next issue, the new TVR will be badged the T350C. That’s a break from the charismatic assortment of names that recent TVRs such as the Griffith, Chimaera, Cerbera and Tuscan have been blessed with – T350C is shorthand for the combined facts that this is a Tamora with a fullsome 350bhp and a coupe bodyshell.

It’ll get the Tamora roadster’s snarling 3.6-litre straight-six powerplant. The wheels, suspension and interior will similarly be carried over from the least expensive car that TVR makes. However the bodywork, still to be seen (still to be finished), will be in greater part completely fresh, with a distinct front end and a choice of permanently fixed or T-top style roof arrangements. At around £37k, the T350C will offer Porsche 911-trumping performance for a considerably lower outlay.

Also set to be receiving their UK debut at the Birmingham show will be the swanky likes of the Bentley Continental GT, the Ferrari Enzo and the Mazda RX-8. Yet only one car will stand a chance of snatching any of the headlines from the TVR T350C, and that will be sporting an MG badge. Again, all will be explained in Top Gear’s next issue...

Probably old news to most, but thought it might be of interest.
