Can be achieved by wiring a start button that is supplied from battery positive, if that's what you want
Thanks Penelope my question was rather vague The engine is cranking but not firing im not get ignition spark I have a piggy back ECU Omex 200 handling the ignition timing the Dizzie is just acting as HT distributor. The weird thing is with all immobilser circuits de activated the problem appears to be lying in the Omex unit. again i can drive for days with no issue then come to start no spark.Fuel pump is activating Pump is good Car is fine when running smooth no issues only have this issue when starting.
Bad ground possibly
the Omex unit has a crank sensor pick up for MAP timing.
Its a puzzle.
No lockdowns being eased ill be able to sort out with my assistant
Ill have to go through all the rats nest wiring ill have me great great nephew Hughie (hes one with Leukemia who with his friend Freddie have been on National TV a dozen times. They have raised around 220K for the Royal Children's Hospital.Manchester) Ive willed the Griff to him hes 10 and a petrolhead. So with Hughies help we will get to the bottom of it.Hes begged me to teach him all about the car so what better to learn on than a TIV. Wish me luck!

Hadn't heard about Hughie and Freddie, left the UK many moons ago and don't get to read the papers or view UK TV
What a great achievement in raising such a large amount of money
Hoping that Hughie gets the job sorted for you
You've probably got this http://omextechnology.co.uk/200%20ECU%20Installati... , it's not the best of diagrams
Yes the fault could be down to a bad earth or supply, there's also the possibility that the crank sensor is sometimes failing when cold
The following may be of some help
When you know that the engine is starting and running ok
Disconnect the Omex
Check what the crank sensor resistance is by measuring it with a multimeter at the Omex plug
Plug loom back into the Omex and if you can from the rear of the Omex plug , measure the supplies and earths voltages
Take note of all the above readings
When the engine fails to start, repeat the above tests and see if something's changed/different/missing
Hughie, please read the above and get the job sorted
Wishing you all the best from Greece

Well thanks Penelope youve mirrored my approach i need to identify all PS inputs and outputs on the Omex unit My first thoughts was the crank sensor ill check the gap as well cheers Ill pass on the plan to Hughie and your input. cheers Hadn't heard about Hughie and Freddie, left the UK many moons ago and don't get to read the papers or view UK TV
