Well I've done it - paid my deposit and on saturday pick up my starmist green griff 500 from hillfoot so I dont suppose i'll sleep much till then. Special thanks again to Cleg who came across during his lunch break to give the car a once over - it seems clean but there is loads to look out for - If it weren't for this site I very much doubt I would have been buying a griff this soon, and thanks to all the ph'ers that sent in comments. One last thing, it comes with a private plate (as well as a tracker!!) but I already have one. It is 'A 5 LVB' (a 5 litre v8) - dont know if it's worth much or whether I should sell it/pay to retain it. Any suggestions? thanks again - particularly cleg

If you don't want the plate then look in the classifieds to get an idea of value and then advertise it.

Certainly don't send it back to DVLA. They'll only try and sell it for £250 (or whatever the current rate is). You might as well try and make money from it. After all you bought it with the car.

Oh yeah, and good luck with the car. I'm sure you'll enjoy it just as much as the rest of us enjoy ours.

That's great news...

Hopefully you'll be posting some pics and we can see it. I pick my new one up on Saturday so that'll be two of us having sleepless nights.

Enjoy the car and drive safely (fast, but safely)

Cheers
