Reflections from stainless dashboards ?
Discussion
Hi
I need a new dash for my Griff and I have been looking at the options available. (have looked at SC Powers and TVR Mads - any others ?) I like the circle polished stainless steel but I am wondering if you do not get irritating sun reflections when driving. Else I would go for the brushed stainless dashboard but I am wondering if this ones also reflects the sun. Any experience.
Cheers

I have an engine turned effect SS dash and have not noticed any objectionable reflections.
What is very obvious is the reflection of the cream coloured dash top in the screen, I believe darker coloured dash tops are less of a problem.
My perfect colour would be a Mica Black body with black seats and trim!

The vent surrounds are matt anodised aluminium very similar to the dash in colour, never had any reflection issues with them.
Just had a look at the picture do you mean the screen demister vents? They are also anodised ali as you can see they do reflect in the lower screen but
they're below eye-line so I don't notice them.............now I've said that I probably will

I have stainless de mist vents in my Chim and they are well below my eye line, I’m so used to them as to not even notice, they certainly do not effect vision at all.
Well, it looks like I might be the party pooper - I have an aluminium dash and 95% of the time it is OK, but occasionally I get dazzled by the sun's reflection. I rarely drive with the roof on and the problem occurs when the sun is fairly low in the sky and behind me.
I find it irritating when it happens and it does cause me to slow down because of slightly reduced visibility, but as you know, we only get sun a few days a year so most trips don't have this problem. However I personally am considering changing to the original type walnut dashboard as I prefer it, but I wonder if the varnished finish is also dazzling under the same conditions. Anyone experience this?
