I'm starting to recommission my 1996 Griffith 500 after a lengthy (5 year) lay up. A minor but annoying problem is that the blower is stuck on full - it won't turn off or adjust. I suspect it's a simple switch issue and I will need to replace the switch behind the panel below the radio.

When I say "simple", I am fully aware that few things on a TVR are simple. Does anyone with experience in removing the panel and working behind it care to let me know if I am letting myself in for a nightmare?

Sorry if you already know this but have you tried pushing the control knob ‘in’. They have a dual action, I.e in/out and rotary.
To remove the switch you first have to remove the window switches then undo the fixings behind them. Make sure you turn off the battery first because the window switches are permanently live.

I had the same problem and it was the connector at the back of the heater control knob panel had become detached. It’s a connector attached to the ribbon cable loom. You will need to pull the complete panel out to see it. My panel just pulled out.
