Griff fluid leak

A friend of mine is looking at a griff 500, he said there is a clear but greasy fluid leak coming from the gearbox area. I have suggested its a slave/ master cylinder leak.

Any ideas, thanks

I would say clutch fluid, I hope he would notice if it was petrol from the fuel hoses at the rear top of the engine or coolant from the heater pipes in the same area.

The clutch slave cylinder is easy to get to and would be a cheap fix.

Use this minor issue to hammer the price down if its the right car.
