Thought I would see if my old precat griff was on the road and taxed, punched in the registration on the DVLA website and found its turned into a red jaguar yikes

I've got a Green Pre-cat that I think has had a reg change or two?

What colour trim?

Not mine then, it has grey interior.

It's all a bit quiet on here these days, lot more going on on FaceBook Groups.

I think this is the car I purchased from you?
If so all I know is that the guy that purchased it from me gave me the impression he was keeping it if it’s used or not.
He was really insistent that the registration number stayed with the car to keep the history going. I would be very surprised if he separated it from the car.
If it’s the same car it was amazing. Unfortunately at the time I couldn’t keep it.
Hopefully it’s still going strong, fingers crossed.
Very best regards and keep safe, Doug

It's not mine but it was Greenish when new in Feb' 1992

Have you had a look at the the top two threads at the top of the Griffith page?
There is a more detailed list on PH somewhere but I can't find it at the moment. I should have bookmarked it I know.

Anybody?

Try this thread, mostly around page 2. It is a list of very early Griffiths by chassis number and known first registration date. Its not to say all the cars still survive, but you may be able to join some dots.

Yes found that thread in my bookmarks, but I thought there was a Wiki page as well, where owners could upload their cars details. Didn't you do it Gordon?

There is a Wiki Page at linked at the top of the Griffith sub forum, but it was not created by me. There is a chap on one of the Griffith FB pages that is also putting together a list of all and currently know Pre-Cats.

That’ll be me. I have yours on the list but no recent knowledge of its whereabouts. I think the last photo of it I’m and I think you are aware of was back in 2015. I’ve checked my records and I’ve got nothing which matches the likely mileage, colour and reg plate date. I’ll keep my eye out for it though. If you could remember the last 3 digits of the Vin please pm me as it will help be to match up with any subsequent reregistrations. I’m confident though that there is no current sightings of it, or as a reregistration under a different plate. I’ve got it in my sights....it’s a classic precat. Fingers crossed we’ll get there.
