Need a pair for the rear of the Griff, to replace the Toyos that I fitted new some years ago.
Shocked that there seems to be nowt available apart from Pirrellis @ £245 odd each !

Ideally looking for Contis. Any suggestions ?

I have a brand new Pair of the Adam’s and Page rear Toyos 245/45ZR16’s bought in Jan 2020. They only sell as a set of 4. PM me if you are interested, my precat Griff is well shod at present, although I had intended to keep them for the future, but will Covid around perhaps it pays not to make long-term plans. Happy to help a fellow Griff owner out.

There seems to be a good selection of 225 X 50 X 16s available, inc Uniroyal Rain Sport 5s.

Any one fitted these to the rear ?

Those would be the ones most likely fitted when new. Only when the supply of Z rated 225/50 tyres dwindled did owners start fitting 245/45 x 16. On a 7.5 inch rim (standard wheels), some advise 245 is too wide anyway:
