Last one for tonight...

Does anyone have any nailed on choices for a battery for a Griff 500?

Mine's mounted in the passenger footwell. 072 battery.

Most seem to be 6-700CCA and 75ish Ah. Which is pretty much what I've just removed from the car - don't recall having issues with the battery previously so the numbers look about right.

Can get a Bosch S4 for around £80 and have used Bosch before. (Old one was a Delphi non-sealed job!).

Bosch should be fine, I've always gone for Varta personally but I'm not sure if they are the same company.
Removed a Banner Battery from my Chim recently and that seemed very robust.

Putting them on a conditioner when laid up seems to be the best way of keeping them healthy for longer.

Indeed - and generally something I do....cannot for the life of me recall what prompted me to disconnect my Accumate from it - probably needed the charger for something else for a bit and never got round to putting it back smile

Anyway, Bosch battery arrived yesterday. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres arrived today. Battery will go on at the weekend and the tyres on Tuesday. Then the car is off to TVRSSW for the 26th and we'll see what gives from there...

Quite excited now biggrin Final decisions on cam to eradicate (hopefully) shunt to be made - am hoping that will be the biggest unknown to address.
