While upgrading heads, camshaft on my 4.3 Griff decided to remove engine easier than removing gearbox going for lighten flywheel. Questions on clutch choices either tvr powers billeted clutch or racetech uprated kit. Also is it worth fitting the metal clutch carrier instead of the o/e plastic? , as I only use in the summer would it be more prone to sticking on input shaft. Only mentioned this because has caused issues in the past. Thanks

Bookmarked. smile

I weighed my AP Racing 500 spec clutch at 8.8 kg total and 6.7 kg for the pressure plate alone - I vaguely remind reading that Powers billet version is one pound and a half (~ 650 g) lighter?

On dismantling the lot it turns out I have the metal carrier - no problems over the 12 years and 43,000 miles it has been fitted.

Looking on powers website it says

525 Newton-Meter (N∙m)

Which equates to

387 Foot-Pound (ft∙lb)
