Just made it to Mole Valley, bleep goes off so turn around and back to Headley. Waited at box hill for a bit but must have missed you all. Great shame as the only Griffith represented.

Hope all had a good run out and back. Start planning for next time and do order the same weather.

Kam (red griffith briefly at back of convoy)

Thanks again to Andy and Steve for organising. Time to start planning the next run. Hope you all made it back home safely.

knk, you were the first, but not the last by any means. Karen and I ducked out 20 miles into part two. We did manage to enjoy some mini convoy action with Jeremy, Alison and (probably) the only PH Morris Traveller. (I hope someone has a picture of this - H?)

Hope you enjoyed the cake, sorry to any folks we missed. Since said cake has now proven its durability during the morning's back road blast, I'm thinking of making the cake stop a regular thing. What do you reckon folks (apart from bring more of it next time)?

Rivergirrl - Karen and I are gutted for you, but are sure Ruby will be fixed in no time.

See you all at Virginia Waters,

Steve, Karen and Chim' (now minus cake)

Thanks, Karen and Steve I hope to have her fixed by the Virginia Water Meet. I know it's only superficial, but it's more the shock of the event than anything else. I tucked Ruby into bed, told her everything would be alright, and soon she'd be good as new. Fabulous day, and it was a shame the only Griff wasn't with us

By the way, wasn't a bleep from the car, rather a bleep from my duty pager.

When is the VW meet?

Just a quick note...top day, thanks again Steve & Andy for organising (hey Andy, do you reckon you could drive a bit faster next time! )
Carolyn...I was so sorry about your incident, but it really didn't look so bad, shouldn't take too much putting right. What's more unfortunate is that the other driver wasn't more chilled ...maybe betrayed her own guilty conscience. It's no consolation, but I reckon my front end could do with a respray too...looks like a fly mortuary at the moment!
Hope to see you all at Viginia Water!

SGirl, yes, Ruby and I are fine, as is my co-pilot, Clare. O/S front sustained damage when deflecting and bouncing off the side of a Clio, going around a very sharp LH bend, on a country road 1.5 car widths apart. Her car looks worse (probably needs a new door) but Ruby only has some scrapes and a very splintered wheel arch. The other driver was jumping up and down and threatening to punch my lights out. Thankfully, Clare was able to calm her down enough to exchange details. I was more shocked at the whole occurence. Thanks, all, for being so sweet at the ZigZag car park. 'Tis very nice to have friends like you Not quite the end I'd envisioned to an otherwise perfect day - the Sun Dances really do work

Now that's what I call fun!

Thanks Steve and Andy for putting it all together - the sight of 20 plus TVRs posing in the sun and doing on the road what they were designed to do was awesome.

The glorious v8 sounds (and the odd tyre squeal ) from TVRs pressing on through some of Surrey's finest roads made this a very special day.

My daughter thought it was a total wow and has given me a firm instruction that next time we've got to do it in a Tuscan! Some kids are never satisfied!

Sad to see Ruby with a bruise at the finish - best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Nice to meet so many enthusiasts through the PH forum - look forward to next time

Hi peeps,

Great day. Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm jolly tired!!!

Don't thank me for today, its Andy's run and route, just my crap directions and maps. And Rivergirrl's fabulous weather.

So sad to see a damaged TVR...but she will recover...we can rebuild her.

About the preview the video tapes....there's 5 tapes !!!
Votes on how long they want the final movie to be?
10 mins.....5 hours....any thoughts?
LB

PS Well done Andy, good job matey! I can still smell your tyre smoke however!!!!

Rivergirrl, glad to hear you're all okay! Poor old Ruby - still, at least the Clio came off worst. Serves her right - how rude! I know you're not supposed to apologise when you have an accident which is going to go via insurance, but really - there are ways to behave. Numpty.

BTW, very impressed with whatever offerings you make to the god of sunshine! Will you start now in time for VW??

Hi Luca, I know I was not there, but I did think about all you people having fun, whilst I was being transported by a 1 HP beast, in the sun through the New Forest.

BTW: some great roads round and through the New Forest.

But, please, please, and chance of a copy of the video.

Doh! Not good for Carolyn . . will send event T-shirt in sympathy (!)
I was shattered, but still had a great drive back to West London for a 6 o'clock lunch! It was awesome, following Andrew's popping Tuscan - just sheer music!
More smiling faces than Jude Law's kids' party!

It was a truly great day. Big thanks to Andy and Steve for the organisation and to Rob for the shirts. I lost the leaders after a sharp left not far from the end and ended up in a queue of traffic so I spun around and then only had the option of the M23!!!

Sorry to hear about the bump Rivergirrl, there were some real rollercoaster corners out there.

See you all soon

I'd argue that I dropped out earlier, Saturday lunchtime.....

So there I am, hangover, Sat 11:00 at the paintshop and they're just finishing polishing the car ready for Sunday, hurrah. "It'll be ready in an hour mate" so off I trot (to the bank to get their money) and come back at 12:20 and they've buggered off home, no "we shut at 12:00 note" nothing, bs

Anyway, sorry to here about your "incident" RG, sure it'll be sorted soon, get home OK ?

What a pain, did they not know you where coming back, you would have though they would have waited so they could get paid.
