I am going to be test driving a (i believe) 94 l griff 500 next week with 35 k on the clock and full tsh. It is being sold by Hillfoot tvr in sheffield. The sales bloke seems spot on (I'm not daft honest!) and assures me it is absolutely mint although I havent seen it yet as the owner is trading it in for a recent chim 5 litre. I had originally planned to spend 17-18k on either a chim or early cerb but have a soft spot for a griff and decent early cerbs seem to be difficult to get. He is quoting between 15-16 k - is this reasonable and am i making the right choice ? I appreciate I am asking this question in the griff section !!

I recon you've answered your own question

Had you wanted someone to put you off the idea you would have posted on the Chim section... wouldn't you

As a Griff owner I would have to say go for the Griff (if its a good one), I seems that Griff residuals are starting to strengthen, though I'm sure Chimaeras will follow soon.

Cheers Dan

I've just traded my 1994 M plate in for a newer car. It could well be worth you having a look at as it really is spot on engine wise etc. I just wanted something newer with less miles on it. If you are interested drop me an email at

dcandh@btopenworld.com

I will let you know the ins and outs and the dealership it's at.

Cheers

Car sounds dodgy! I mean, why else would a man trade in a Griff for a Chimp

Who's traded a Griff for a Chim....

Either that's not aimed at me or somethings f***** with Webshots!

Griff for a remarkably similar Griff thats more like it! M500 CRS is a top motor, someone on Pistonheads has already sussed its up for sale at David Geralds in Inkberrow.

Drop me a line if you're interested and I'll run through the car with you.

Oh and as someone once said, golf is a good walk ruined!!

Bugger...

Just read tij's first message again. My relpy was bourne out of technophobia at getting my new photos onto webshots (what a nightmare)

So we return to speculate why someone in Sheffield had traded a Griff for a Chimp...

Golf's a good one, but I have been told that you can get more sheep in the boot of a chimp! (time to hide)

Yeah yeah yeah...

And I come from The Valleys originally so I'm running out of room to manouvre here...

I've been trying to get a tow bar attached to the Griff so I can get a trailer to carry all the sheepies home!

Before the animal rights folks get all excited, I'm a shepherd or as the locals like to call me a pimp!

Dai probably a bit late to post a reply but seriously equal ops is the way forward these days and you may as well be cutting edge - plus if a relationship does'nt work you can always have a kebab.
