Hi, can the ECU in my Griff be tested off the car? or does it have to be plugged in for the tech to do his stuff?
Anybody know..? Help would be apreciated.

There are people advertising in the back of such mags as Practical Classics that I think offer ECU testing.
Try talking to Mark Adams in the help numbers in Sprint.
You could also try briefly swapping the ECU with another Griff owner?? to see if the fault goes.

doubt you will have any takers on that one, on the basis that if something external to the ECU is suspect on your car then it may damage another ECU. Get it interrogated by a specialist, it wont cost loads and will give you peace of mind
