Spotted while driving my green S3 on glorious sunny Saturday afternoon when I was about to turn right to Wilbarston off A427 between Market Harborough and Corby.

Maroon red metallic (?) Griffith came in the opposite direction, cruising nicely at 70+ mph and sounded great as it past. Was it you?

Next time take the B664 accessed from the bottom of the A427 just after the roundabout when leaving M-H.
This takes you through villages of Sutton Bassett, Weston by Welland and Medbourne and then onto Uppingham. Or have you already driven the road?

I have feeling Peter, that this is the newly tarmac'd road on the left..after the roundabout, heading towards Leicester...

.....was tempted, but i get told off for needlessly taking the long routes home!!...(extra time in the Griff)

Next time you must arrange your visit so that you arrive at Medbourne around lunchtime.
There is a very good old fashioned pub in the centre of the village. The car park is one side of the stream and the pub on the other over a small footbridge.

The village is worth a few minutes exploring. Walk off your lunch by strolling along the bank of the stream to the church, next to a ford....

I have spent many a pissed night in the oooh... i cant remember the name...erm...ahh..The Neville Arms..

... a fine pub....I was taken there on many occasions by my father and a Scottish farmer called "Calder"...

.....They tend to keep the beer well....

....but I think The Fox in Hallaton get my vote!
