Anyone have any recomendations for brake pads? I''m getting 1.5 track days & 500 road miles out of a set of standard fronts.

MINTEX used to be the old favorite, one of my cars has them in and does well on hillclimbs. But the rave these days seems to be the EBC kevlar "Greenstuff" pads, these seem to be a good allrounder i.e road use/track use, but EBC do a "Redstuff" recommended for track use only, these need to be warmed up before they become effective, so not really for everyday use.
I don't have any phone numbers regarding the above, but hese are quite common so most motorsport type dealers should be able to help.
Regards,
Dave.
The EBC greenstuff definitly doesn't last more than standard pads for track days, and as you say the red can't be used on road, so EBC???

I have Green Stuff pads and they are top notch plus no brake dust (alright a little). For my boggy 96 Griff you require 2605/2 on the fronts and 2617 on the rear and can get the main supplier at wwww.sejoc.co.uk.. Oh and they definately the best pads I've used on a track day.
How are you 'Green Stuff' folks finding the disc wear? Definitely increased since I started using them on the V8S. Superb grip and heat tolerance though, which is more important to me.
Cheers,
Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)
