Hello everyone ! I have a newfound interest in TVR cars, and need some starting help.
- Years ago, local rumor had it that TVR (60's Griffith cars) had 'brazed' frames, not welded. Is this correct ?
- Can the Ford 289 (302) fit into a 2500M series without mods to the basic frame ? This would be replacing the Triumph 6-cyl engine.
- I'm 6' 3" tall. Can a tall driver fit into a 2500M without bumping his head while driving ?
- If needed, does the factory offer replacement frames for these cars ? ( I only know that my uncle's 2500M has sat unused for a long time, and noone knows the condition of the frame.)
And finally, is the resale value of a 2500M reduced by not keeing the car totally stock ? i.e. Would a Ford V8 installed properly with due attention to detail decrease the value of the car ?
Many thanks for bothering with my novice questions !
