My Griff at the Nurburgring
Discussion
Drove to Belgium from St Malo last Tuesday to collect my mate Ben's new Honda S2000 then went on to spend Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and all day Sunday at the Ring.
Griff's brake pads got too worn to carry on after two evening sessions (I couldn't mail-order replacements in time before we left, p1ss poor preparation on my part) so I parked up and went out with Ben in the S2000. The car's pretty nice, very revvy but lacking a lot of torque compared to the Griffith. Ben was taking it easy on the NS, new car and all that, but we still got around fairly respectfully.
Before that was the first chance I've really had to push a bit harder in the TVR (it rained last time), and it's a bit lively (scary) in the faster bits, all good fun though. Think new bushes/shocks etc would help a lot.
Coolest moment: being surrounded by about 12 Americans over for a BMW training course and having them ooh and aah at my V8! I was even persuaded to give it a rev in the car park, which I wanted to avoid in case the noise meters appeared, but they insisted
Silliest moment: locking up big-time in one of the biggest braking-zones whilst trying to keep a fg mini behind me (with a 170bhp vtec lump in it!)
Theres a (very) few pics up on:

um, yes...
Went and had a chat with the owner afterwards (he blew past me into the corner, through my tire smoke) to apologise, we had a good laugh about it. Thing was, I knew about the mini beforehand, so I guess my lock-up was down to a bit of "over-enthusiasm"/"red-mist"
