Just bought a Griff!
Discussion
Much celebrating in the SGirl household this weekend! I finally got my act together, robbed a bank and, with the words "they all do that, sir" and "hmm, it's probably an engine-out job you know" ringing in my ears, I handed over my ill-gotten gains and got this big plastic loud thing with wheels on in return. A fair swap, with hindsight!
So I'm now the proud owner of a 1995 Griff 500. What a brilliant car!!
No doubt once the euphoria wears off I'll look at my bank statement and think a few rude words, but until then I intend to have a good time and enjoy the car! And at last I know why everyone likes Griffs so much...

Welcome to the gang SGirl. I`ve a 95 Griffith too,had it for 5 years and NEVER tire of driving it.
Went for a quick blast down the A12 yesterday and we`re still wearing the grins!!
What`s the colour & where are you? Good luck.
Know what you mean - I've been wearing a permanent cheesy grin since I picked it up (apart from on the way home - almost no petrol down the M4! Oops). It's Highland Pearl = sort of gunmetal grey. And I'm in South Bucks if anyone wants to wave at me!

Congrats indeed.
Can I be cheeky and ask what you paid for it? I have a 95 Griff and it is up for sale when I get back from France, so a recent comparison would be helpful.
Thanks, and happy motoring.
Sure, but I'm not going to tell you here! I'll mail you the details in a mo....
Yeah I just got mine a couple of months ago - hence the crap weather for most of the 'summer'. Mine is 'only' a 4 litre (what do you guys - and girls - do with the extra bhp??!!)
I've only seen 3 chimeras and 0 Griffs in the 2,000 miles I've done, and no bugger waves or flashes. Is this just Chimera drivers? I had an S3 a few years ago and every TVR driver would acknowledge the fact that we were driving the best looking, best sounding cars in the world.
I'm in Wilts/West Berks, so anyone seeing a tanned but balding guy in a green 4.0 - gimme a wave!

Because your engine is sooo much bigger than mine I wonder if you could continue posting comments as to how 'wussy', underpowered and basically inadequate my 4.0 V8 engine is. Perhaps 1 - 2 a week in various forums just to keep my ego in check.
I got a copy of 'the bible' for my birthday but that first chapter - I think it was called Genesis or something - didn't help me to clean my stepper motor at all, so I sent it back duuuhhh!!
Ho Hum back to sleep, I mean work, now
LOL

No the question is "How do you cope with so little?"...
I think the standard retort is: It might be small, but I've got a fat arse to push it in with,
Translates quite well.
Steve, care to give me your worldy wise opinion on www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=13&t=14566 - it's a 'little' griff.
Thanks mate!
