i am living in the netherlands and i am looking for a workshop manual i called tvr but they will not send me one. there are no dealers over here so can someone send me a workshop manual for 6000 miles servece jobs etc.. I also want to set up the suspension camber etc. so i need some data. i also need engine data for servicing the car . Car is grifiith 500 hc late ''95. is the steve heath book a possibility? how can i better the handling performance ?
Presumably the factory would release the service schedule to a qualified engineer? So if you find a local garage who can do the work for you they might have more luck getting hold of the schedule? But getting your car serviced by somebody who hasn't got experience of working on TVRs may not be a smart move. Re suspension set up, you should be able to get the geometry checked against the factory specification. If you want to go further and 'enhance' the handling you might want to get professional help. The problem with copying other people's settings is that a setup that I like might not suit your driving at all. You should definitely get yourself a copy of Steve Heath's Griff/Chimaera 'bible'. It will be a great help if you're tackling minor tasks yourself, but it isn't a full workshop manual. Cheers, Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)
