1) Decide which one do you like the look of most.

2) Do your research on what problems to look for etc.

3) Find a nice one and buy it.

Easy really!

We've a terrific 500 - but a pal has a grey V8S & when he pops around I always look at his car with a slightly jealous eye, which surprised me !

Ah.

In that case, V8S for lower cost, or if you can stump up a bit more, Griff 4.0. The engine is the same, the sound should be the same (no cats in either, unlike in Chimp) and although I know the chassis is modified in the Griff, I guess you could regard them as roughly the same meat with differently styled gravy. The traditional interior of the V8S is very nice (IMHO). I know that compared to the Griff, my S3 felt more like a collection of parts than a single entity, but I haven't driven a V8S so can't compare.

V8S for the exclusivity and classic looks. Being the last of the S' they seem very 'sorted' and the pre cat models sound good.

Second place would be the Griff for all time greatness.

Cheers,
