I'm back in London this weekend, and am going to drive my newly purchase Griff up to Scotland. Any tips on car preperation for the drive up. I have only taken the car out on short runs, no more than 50 miles, so I'm not sure if there is anything I should check, or look out for while driving. Don't fancy having to call out the AA.
I've had many happy miles in Scotland - hope you get good weather. Also done long Continental drives - don't believe all the horror stories - most Griffs and Chimps are pretty reliable.
Take spare fan fuses though - sometimes these blow and cause overheating. In my Chimp 500 there are two (one for each fan) with one also serving the horn. This means you can check if OK by sounding the horn.
SuperUnleaded may be a little hard to track down, if travelling to the Highlands it can be found in Perth,Inverness, Fearn, Conon-bridge, Contin, Ullapool etc
Also to re-iterate watch out for our 'friendly bobbies'. The Sherrif in Ross-shire, especially, likes to take possession of driving licences.
Above all enjoy the experience - TVR driving in Scotland can't be beaten !!
