I shall be there, flying the flag for TVR with the pre-cat Griffith. Looks like I'm going to be outnumbered by the Porsches and BMWs though! I'll have to find an excuse to keep firing the Griffith up and blasting 'em with the noise (and fumes).

It's good to know if your ever involved in some kind of disabling accident that you can still drive your car after a few mods.

Strangely enough my girlfriends dad woke up the other week blind in one eye. It will be permanent (as all case are) and has been traced to a burst artery (?) in the eye area (medical term). This was due to his high blood pressure. Imagine the impact that would have on your depth of perception etc. Worringly he's still allowed to drive!

Really? I lad from my old work only had one eye and as such had to cycle everywhere.

Roadrunner, sorry to hear about your girlfriend's father. Unfortunately disabling conditions aren't selective, they just come out of the blue and can affect anyone at any time - that's life as they say!

As to his fitness to drive, I assume he's had eye tests, been checked over by his GP, informed the DVLA (its an offence not to) to check if he should take a re-test, and informed his insurance company. If so what's the problem?

Just that without stereo vision your spatial awareness is altered somewhat, which can't be a good thing for others on the road.

Seeing how I live just up the road from Donington, I will be there.
Few years back, I was a mountaineer. got a sore thumb, turned out this was Psoriatic Arthritis, now using electric wheelchair.
As the man said, these things happen. Get out and make the most of it now, you never know. Glad I had a long list of stupid ideas I got to try out.
