Hi all,

Thinking of getting myself a 500 Griff for a bit of a larf on the roads. However the only TVR place near me seems to be David Hendry out in Malmesbury. This is not so bad, but I find his prices expensive, especially with a standard service at £450.

Just wondering if anyone knew

1) Is David Hendry worth the money
2) Other places in the area that would be better to look at

Thanks.

Whereabouts in Bristol are you based, and how far d'you want to travel, there's a couple sort of central: www.williamsautomobiles.com and www.dealer.autotrader.co.uk/hamitoncars.htm
Should whet the appetite.

Head on down to the TVRCC meet at the Golden Heart this Sunday and they will tell you all you need to know.

Details all at http://go.to/tvrbristol

You will also find details of dealers and independents on the links page.

Loads of Griffs in the area - lovely TVR.

I'm Just outside Bristol down the M5, it's the Gordano services exit just off the Avon Bridge.

Willing to travel some distance, about 30 - 40 minutes in any direction, which means David Hendry is within reach, but I am worried that he is too expensive.

Thanks for the 2 links, I'll have a shufti.

I should think Adrian Blyths would be well worth a visit as he normally has good motors at very competertive prices.
Thats if you dont mind about an 1.5hr ish drive from Bristol.

Catania, Pedestrian,

Nacnuds pretty much covered it, but he's buggering of to some TVR fringe meet oop north. I'll be at the Golden Heart on Sunday so see you there.

I'd go along with what the others have mentioned, re dealers. I poped into Williams on Saturday and they are putting alot of investment into there TVR Franchise, but as yet they don't have much stock, certainly no Griffs.

As Sipow suggested, Adrian Blythe is worth the drive, a few people from Bristol have bought cars from him me included.

Cheers Dan (and a very obvious yellow Griff)

Cheers Dan, Sipow, bloke at work has the 5.0 Chim (That's what helped me decide, that glorious engine note) and he put me onto Adrian Blythe. And steered me clear of Fernhurst. The Main Office is in Reading so I'm down that end of the M4 every week.

Only problem I see is that most of the Adrian Blythe cars seem to be sold before they hit the website

I can see most of my next questions being, what to look out for, and where to get this sports exhaust that I see mentioned.

Give Adrian a call,He's a very helpfull bloke and should be able to give you an idea of what he should have arriving in stock before he puts it on his web site.
Do you have Steve Heath's Bible yet as this gives some excellent tips on buying and what to look out for.

Good Luck

Take a look here...

It's worth buying the book before you buy the car, as there are quite a few tips on what to look for.
