Long wait for parts

Further to previous chat on the "Kodiaq, petrol or diesel" thread, my Kodiaq's been off the road since the 9th Jan with a knackered DSG.
I am on to the dealer once or twice a week, and whilst I can understand the issues of the Christmas holiday and Ukraine war affecting manufacturing and shipping of parts, large or small, the fact that they aren't always updated when a part's in transit, seems crazy to me.
My parts could turn up on a pallet tomorrow and the dealer won't know they're coming!
Anyone else got a VW Group car off the road at the moment, due to a failed DSG?
Finally, I cannot ever recommend a Honda HR-V, or, for that matter, Skoda Roadside Assistance!
Does anyone have a contact at Mobex by any chance? Dealer not having any luck, of course!

Luckily this is an approved used Kodiaq so it's sat at the dealer under warranty.
However, the administration of trying to get rid of the asthmatic Honda HR-V for something more akin to our Kodiaq prior to the Easter holidays, is proving a challenge and, annoyingly, it's time I'll never get back!

As I cannot update on any parts having arrived, I thought i'd instead say that we've finally got rid of the HR-V and now in its place have a rather nice Volvo XC40. The rear blind spots are terrible and the back seat space isn't all that, but it's a solid car and nice to drive.
Probably helps that it's got the same CC and output as our Kodiaq, but in a smaller car. I presume the Volvo isn't 4WD ether.

Having briefly considered a new career as a car reviewer, having had three rentals in two months, I wondered if my two month (on Saturday) wait for parts would be considered as part of the "giving the dealer/manufacturer an opportunity to repair your car" remit of rejecting a problematic vehicle?

As it happens, I got "the call" last Thurs that the car was ready, so picked it up on Friday. It's nice to be back in our own car again.
The whole process has been shocking, from the "I've done all I can" crew at the dealer, the experience with the AA/Skoda Assist to having to chase the "Proactive" (yes, really) team at Mobex for an equivalent car.
At least I know now I'll never buy a Honda HR-V and that the Volvo XC40 is quite nice!

Thought I'd update that the car is back at the dealer but only for oil service and MOT.
Got a call from them half an hour ago saying the two rear tyres have failed the MOT.
Their price for two 20" Pirellis - £547.20 however credit to them for "allowing" me to use my usual mobile guy (Hometyre - have used at home before - very good outfit) for a price of £424 supplied and fitted on site before getting re-tested.
On another note, the Scala loan car - a 1.0T 95 PS with 3K on the clock - is quite a good car.

Edited to add - I was told there is a slight weeping of oil coming from the sump gasket but for now only needs monitoring. I told them the car was in only in March for major surgery - could the two be related? Thanks Dr G. Since my post I've received the walkaround vid which in which I can see the beautifully clean cover with the oil weeping around the screws so I hope they can solve that one.
Also in the vid "Unfortunately these are the cuts in the tyres so it will fail the MOT" - why then put it through before new tyres are sorted?!
