Nobody's got 300bhp with just a remap. 280-290 seems the norm. See old threads on www.seatcupra.net/forums You can get to the realms of 400bhp if you want cheaply (ish).

Bonjour

Yeah a 'real' 300bhp from just a remap is not happening, 210 or 225 base makes little difference to the end result power wise which will be in the 270bhp area pretty much no matter who you see.

Sports cats & exhaust will all help to nudge you towards 300, but you are still gunna be a little way off unless you want to spend a fair few squid.

To be honest IMHO dont get hung up on the 300bhp idea, as a chipped LCR is a very nippy car, the real thing to watch is what the tuner has done with the torque curve.

If they have merely replicated an Audi TT or S3 torque curve the car is going to be a bit of a silly handfull, what with it being only wrong wheel drive & all, so ask 'em if they have pegged back the torque a bit in the midrange over a TT or S3, which makes it far more drivable & thus quicker in the real world.
