i want to chip a 225 tt q but dont want the engine to go bang. I find the car real flat in the mid range so would doing this sort that. the car has 77000 klms about 40k miles full audi stamps. can the engine cope with this upgrade over the long term.

The 225 TT & 210/225 S3 engine is as tough as old boots, good for a reliable 350bhp without internal mods.

Most chip upgrades will give you the 260+bhp area, sports cats & exhausts a tad more, then you go down the route of different turbos for big power.

Shoudnt really feel flat in the mid range tho, good idea to check out ya air mass meter as when they go down the car feels lethargic & down on power.

Go to a tuner for a custom remap - get a bit more power as its tweaked for your individual engine. Usually goes hand in hand with some rolling road time so you can specify where the help is needed. Try AmD, QST, Jabba etc.
