Just bought an A4 2.5tdi last week and on closer inspection have found the spare wheel is cracked. It's a W reg 2000 Avant with 10 spoke alloys on it.Audi want £250 for a rim,so there must be a breakers etc to find one as a spare.Have tried the place in Leighton Buzzard to no avail.Anyone?

I've got one, but unfortunately doesn't sound the same - it's a 7 spoker, with a sort of clipped hole design. (7*16 rim with ET42 offset).

New, has had a tyre fitted but otherwise unused...would do if you just want something to use in an emergency?

Thanks Adrian.I did manage to get a mint alloy with a nearly new tyre from www.4ringspares.com in Doncaster. It was £100 which isn't bad considering the tyre too.

There's a tyre place called Monty's in Iver, near Uxbridge - they do lots of VW/Audi alloys if you're after an original alloy or similar.

No worries - I think the one I've got is now standard fit on the new A3 (2.0 FSI/TDI) so someone will want it sooner or later.

Cheers,
