The engine comes in three different versions as I understand it; 60bhp, 75bhp (which I have) and 100bhp, as used in the Lupo Sport and stuff like that. What is the difference between the 75bhp and 100bhp units? Is it purely a matter of changing the chip, as in the Mini One, or is there more to it than that? Just out of interest you understand...

Isn't the 100bhp one 16v and the other two 8v? I've got the 100bhp one in my Polo and that's certainly 16v

No chip is going to make a 1.4 n/a go from 75 to 100 bhp.

No mines a 16v engine as well. I was just thinking that it may have been a similar situation to the MINI. I.e, by changing the ECU program on a Mini One, you have a Mini Cooper engine. The ECU on the Mini One doesn't allow the throttle body to open fully, hence less horsepower
