I'm in the market for a 2001-ish S8 - any advice on what to look for and what to look out for? Anyone who already has one - I would be interested in feedback... And what difference would there be from an equivalent a8 quattro sport 4.2 with all the kit??

I had an S8 for about a year - fantastic bit of kit! Amazing how much more go you get out of changing the tires!!!

They look like a big car but it doesn't feel like it when you’re driving - they're happy to be driven enthusiastically around the county lanes etc. As with all the Audi's though you get bags of understeer if you ever cook it.

Overall a brilliant motor.....would get another one.
