Hello there advice required if poss. Just bought today a S4 Avant Tip. Was offered 'GAP' insurance which from the policy doc and sales lit is an insurance policy whereby if car is stolen or written off the GAP ins will make up the diff (£20k limit) between the main ins pay out and purchase price when new. Prem is £495 for 3 years. Any one had any exp of has any views? Seems a cheap alt to tracker..?
Thanks in advance.

'Gap Plus' - been offered the same on new Audi, not sure whether it's worth it, I mean if your car was stolen/written off then it's ok but otherwise it's £500 down the drain - oh for the good old days when all you did was buy a car and weren't offered so many other 'products' (and what about the fixed cost maintenance plan?)

Have to agree with Mustard.

I've been known to sell it for £150 to hit the odd target now and then.

To all thanks for comments, really helped. GAP now down to 'cost' with £340 off. The pleasure of knowing that the end of quarter targets are fast approaching!!

My thanks
