Good independent WV Garage?

Does anyone know of a Good independent WV Garage in Berkshire/Surrey

My wifes Beetle needs a 30,000 service in the next couple of months and I would rather use a independent.

Do yourself a favour and avoid the outfit who advertise in the Fleet/Aldershot local paper who describes himself as a VAG specialist (inc SEAT and Skoda).

Make the trek to London and try Peter Norris VW/Audi specialists in Clapham - these guys know their stuff

There is an independant in Basingstoke, Hampshire called Grantley's. They advertise as VW/Audi specialist, years ago they rebuilt the engine on a MK2 GTi 16v for me.

Was happy with the work they did, at the time it was owned by a couple of friends who both used to work as mechanics at the local VW garage. But I think it's changed hands since then.

There is one in Guildford (forget name) and Autopool in Iver (OK, a bit further North) - Autopool are behind Fontain Audi (independent).

I think I will give The Auto Pool a go as I only work in Slough so they are not too far away

Are they just performance type VWs or will they service a TDi too?

Found an excellent indie near Portsmouth and got the car back yesterday.

I have just used Autopool in Iver for the 30,000 Mile service.

£94 compared to main dealer at £175.

The seemed to be nice guys and service was done fine
