Hi folks, advice re an A6 required please.

Hello folks,
Are A6 estate 2.5 turbo diesels any good?
I was looking for a BMW 525TDS, but an A6 estate has popped up.
It is an N reg older shape, and looks generally in good order.
I have generally had BMW's until now and would be very grateful for any advice. ie consumption, any inherent problems, performance etc etc...

I'm told they are indestructible - as witnessed by the large number of A6 tdi taxis you see. Sky-high mileages if looked after. Everything about these 1991-1997 shape Audis is built to last.

I don't know what the driving experience with FWD models is like.

I ended up buying a BMW which is an excellent car, but I had nothing but good feedback about the audi.

I think you made the right choice. I think keen drivers should avoid non-quattro Audi's.
