Golf "power limitation" window problem

On my '97 Golf TDi the electric windows have auto up/down and also power limitation. This means if when the window is going up on auto and your hand gets int he way, it will go back down again.
THE PROBLEM:
My hand did get in the way and it went back down as it should. Trouble is, now I cant get it up!
Everytime the window reaches the top it goes straight back down again. This has been happening since yesterday.
How do I reset it?
Also the full auto closure alarm doesnt work on the sunroof anymore. Thinking its perhaps linked.
