Used import values?

Been looking around for a 2-3 yr old Golf TDI 6-speeder. There seem to be quite a few UK spec imported-as-new cars around - any idea how these are/should be priced compared to UK cars?

well trading in they offer about 4k off my TT but then would put it up on the front for around the same as Uk purchased cars. Best off buying one but sell private for around 1k below the Glasses guide. hope that helps

In my experience main VW/Audi dealers wont touch EU imports for resale (unlike BMW / Merc dealers that do, but declared them as such)

Eventually bought a UK car privately. Dealer I spoke to about servicing said they're all the same as far as maintenance goes, although they may not show up on the VW computer and when I tried the reg. number of one for an insurance quote it showed up as a van!

Guidance elsewhere was to expect the same percentage discount as the buyer got when imported, which I guess is around the 1-1.5K mark for a car of this age, plus whatever you think any balance of warranty is worth.
