Hi,
My mk2 gti golf dvr's door electric window is giving me grief!
Over the past few month's it has been working intermittently but lately it has been ok.Now it has finally packed up.
Taken the door trim off, feed from swich to motor is good, continuity on motor is good, the manual states to remove the motor the door glass must be lowered.
I am unable to do this because of the knackered motor, anybody got any tip's or advice.
Any idea's on the cost of repacement.
Thanks

suggest you check relay and fuse?

then you could measure the resistance of the motor windings and compare against the other sides' motor ( say 33% difference and throw it away ), but easier first might be to check actual voltage supplied to motor, and if not there go see if it's reaching the switch, and then gets switched through. etc.
will be a bit of a fiddly plod.

IIRC the switches are a bit dicky? - might have just heard that off some bloke down the pub, mind.

try running a ( fused ) link straight to up to the motor, perhaps, if you really want to elliminate that straight away.

good luck.
